Live at Home = $0 = If you are lucky, your parents will let you live with them for free. Of course you will have to live by their rules.
 
Efficiency = $892 = An efficiency combines living room, bedroom, and kitchenette into a single space with only a bathroom as a separate room.
 
1 Bedroom Apt = $1001 = A 1-bedroom apartment has a living or dining room separate from the bedroom and bathroom.
 
2 Bedroom Apt = $1182 = A 2-bedroom apartment has a living or dining room, two separate bedrooms and bathroom.
 
House = $1205 = Median home price as listed by Zillow.com for the past year. The monthly payment includes a 5% interest for a 30 year loan.
